Cherokee waltzed into their match on Wednesday with 11 straight wins... but they left with 12. Everything went their way against the Hayesville Yellowjackets as they made off with a 3-0 win. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 3-1 win back in September.

One reason for the win was Cherokee's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The match finished with set scores of 27-25, 25-18, 25-16.

Joscelyn Stamper paced Cherokee's offense, picking up 15 kills. Stamper got some help from Lilly Lossiah and her 24 assists. Finally, Stamper was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high six blocks.

Cherokee's victory bumped their record up to 25-8. As for Hayesville, the loss snapped their winning streak at 11 matches and leaves them with a 25-4 record.

Cherokee didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against East Wilkes on the 21st. As for Hayesville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Swain County on the 21st.
