Preview: Triton Central Tigers vs. Greensburg Pirates

Triton Central has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against the Greensburg Pirates at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Triton Central focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up seven on Saturday.

Last Saturday, Triton Central took their contest at home with ease, bagging a 65-36 win over Southwestern.

Triton Central got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Silas Blair out in front who scored 13 points. The match was Blair's third in a row with at least ten points. Eli Sego was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with 4 steals.

Meanwhile, Greensburg didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Batesville on Friday, but they still walked away with a 48-42 victory. The win made it back-to-back wins for Greensburg.

Greensburg's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Addison Barnes-pettit led the charge by scoring 20 points along with 5 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Bradley Lutz, who scored 11 points.

Triton Central's victory bumped their season record to 3-1 while Southwestern's defeat dropped theirs to 0-2.

Triton Central came out on top in a nail-biter against Greensburg in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, sneaking past 54-51. The rematch might be a little tougher for Triton Central since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
