Basketball Recap: Elgin Takes a Loss

Elgin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 49-48 heartbreaker at the hands of the Powder Valley Badgers. If the Huskies were looking for revenge after losing 41-34 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Elgin's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Powder Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 7-11.

While Elgin had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday.
