The Cape Coral Seahawks will take on the Gateway Charter Griffins at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.
While Cape Coral's victory against Gateway wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Cape Coral sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 win over Gateway on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Seahawks have posted since April 16, 2024.

Jonny Rabeiro looked comfortable as he tossed 3.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Cape Coral is 4-1 when Rabeiro allowstwo or fewer earned runs, but 1-6 otherwise.
At the plate, Carter Heisler was excellent, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4. He is becoming a predictor of Cape Coral's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 4-1 (and 1-6 when he doesn't). Kellen Englehart was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.
Meanwhile, Gateway Charter had just enough and edged out Lehigh 9-8 on Thursday.
Gateway Charter also got a great performance from Josue Pascual as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out eight over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts Pascual has posted since back in March of 2024.
On the hitting side, Kaleb Santos and Jack Anastasio did most of the damage at the plate: Santos scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3, while Anastasio went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. That's the most runs Santos has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Christopher Marrero, who scored a run and stole Three bases. while going 1-for-3.
Gateway Charter's win bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Cape Coral, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-7.
