Basketball Recap: Arcanum Snags Third Victory in Last Four Games

Arcanum won the last time they faced Franklin Monroe, and Lexy Gibbons did her part to make sure it happened again. The Arcanum Trojans really took it to the Franklin Monroe Jets for the full four quarters, racking up a 63-28 win thanks in part to Gibbons, who posted 18 points. Her evening made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

Another player making a difference was Caroline Long, who scored eight points along with eight boards and four steals. What's more, she also racked up two assists, the most she's had since back in December of 2024.

Arcanum has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.3 points per game. As for Franklin Monroe, their loss dropped their record down to 5-13.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Arcanum will welcome Northmont at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Franklin Monroe, they will square off against Middletown Christian at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
