Volleyball Game Preview: Dumas Demons vs. Hereford Whitefaces

Dumas is 1-9 against Hereford since September of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Demons will be playing in front of their home fans against the Whitefaces at 12:00 p.m. Hereford took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Dumas, who comes in off a win.

Dumas took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Pampa as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Demons in their matchups with the Harvesters: they've now won six in a row.

Meanwhile, Hereford didn't have quite enough to beat Randall on Tuesday and fell 3-2. The defeat continues a trend for the Whitefaces in their meetings with the Raiders: they've now lost eight in a row.

While Hereford ultimately came up short, they really made Randall work, particularly in the second set. The final score came out to 24-26, 29-27, 20-25, 25-6, 15-9.

Dumas' victory bumped their record up to 11-12. As for Hereford, their loss dropped their record down to 15-15.

Dumas suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Hereford when the teams last played back in September. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Whitefaces' Kyndall Valdez, who had 15 digs and three aces.
