Football Recap: Perry County Comes Up Short Despite Don Laman's Big Defensive Game + How To Watch

There was early excitement for Perry County after they claimed the first score on Friday, but it was McEwen who ended up claiming the real prize. The Vikings fell 20-14 to the Warriors. If the Vikings were looking for revenge after losing 42-17 to the Warriors when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Perry County didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Don Laman. Perry County got some further help from Nate Mathis: he picked up a sack and made eight total tackles.

Perry County has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. As for McEwen, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-2.
