Basketball Game Preview: Cocoa Tigers vs. Astronaut War Eagles

Cocoa and Astronaut are an even 5-5 against one another since November of 2018, but not for long. The Cocoa Tigers will challenge the Astronaut War Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Cocoa is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.

Last Thursday, Cocoa lost to Rockledge at home by a 56-39 margin. The contest marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

The losing side was boosted by TJ Parks, who went 6 for 11 on his way to 17 points. He is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Tony Adderley, who posted seven points.

Meanwhile, it's playoff time, and Astronaut had no trouble coming through when it counted. They were the clear victor by a 57-32 margin over Space Coast on Monday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the War Eagles as it put an end to their seven-game losing streak.

Astronaut's win bumped their record up to 4-21. As for Cocoa, their loss dropped their record down to 8-14.

Cocoa was able to grind out a solid victory over Astronaut in their previous matchup back in January, winning 51-38. Does Cocoa have another victory up their sleeve, or will Astronaut turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
