Flag Football Game Preview: Kennedy Fighting Irish vs. Valencia Tigers

Kennedy is on a three-game streak of home wins, while Valencia is on a four-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Fighting Irish will welcome the Tigers at 3:15 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (Kennedy 10.3, Valencia 7.7) so any points scored will be well earned.

Kennedy fought the good fight in their overtime game against Westminster on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 19-13 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lions. Having soared to a lofty 33 points in the game before, the Fighting Irish couldn't push the score so high this time.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Valencia). Everything went their way against Tustin on Wednesday as they made off with a 32-6 victory. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by 21 points or more this season.

Kennedy's loss dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Valencia, their win bumped their record up to 13-3.

Kennedy didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Valencia in their previous matchup back in September, but they still walked away with a 12-7 victory. Will the Fighting Irish repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
