Basketball Recap: Charter Oak Takes a Loss

Charter Oak was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 43-40 heartbreaker at the hands of the West Covina Bulldogs. Sadly, that's the third time they've come up short against the Chargers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 54-41 back in January.

West Covina's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Steven Julio, who posted 11 points. Matthew Jimenez was another key player, putting up nine points.

Charter Oak's loss dropped their record down to 4-20. As for West Covina, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-11 record this season.

As of now, neither Charter Oak nor West Covina have any future games scheduled.
