Baseball Game Preview: Cordova Blue Devils vs. Sumiton Christian Eagles

The Cordova Blue Devils will take on the Sumiton Christian Eagles at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Cordova is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8 runs per game this season.

On Friday, Cordova came up short against Jasper and fell 7-4. The Blue Devils have struggled against the Vikings recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Sumiton Christian pushed their record up to 17-7 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.1 runs over those games. As for Cordova, they now have a losing record of 11-12.
