Recap: Conemaugh Valley Blue Jays vs. Marion Center Stingers
The Conemaugh Valley Blue Jays scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They walked away with a 90-79 win over Marion Center. Winning may never get old, but Conemaugh Valley sure is getting used to it with their seventh in a row.
Conemaugh Valley got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Landon Percinsky out in front who dropped a double-double on 32 points and 17 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Percinsky has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Jeremy Dietz, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds.
Despite the loss, Marion Center still got an impressive performance from Evan Risinger, who scored 29 points along with five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Kamden Rozier, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds.
Even though they lost, Marion Center were working as a unit and finished the game with 23 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Conemaugh Valley pushed their record up to 15-1 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Marion Center, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-10.
Conemaugh Valley will head out on the road to take on Ferndale at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Ferndale will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 574th, while Conemaugh Valley is ranked 115th). As for Marion Center, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Penns Manor at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
