Softball Recap: Manor New Tech Takes a Loss

If Manor New Tech was riding high fresh off their 22-0 takedown of Travis two weeks ago, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Manor New Tech lost 12-1 to the Lago Vista Vikings on Tuesday. Manor New Tech hasn't had much luck with Lago Vista recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Aaliyah Sinnie made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played.

Manor New Tech's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 6-4-1. As for Lago Vista, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-9.

Coincidentally, Manor New Tech and Lago Vista will both be playing Austin Achieve the next time they take the field. Manor New Tech will host Austin Achieve at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while Lago Vista will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
