Basketball Recap: Woodstock Takes a Loss

Woodstock lost against Etowah back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Woodstock Wolverines fell 60-51 to the Etowah Eagles. While losing is never fun, the Wolverines can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 133rd, while the Eagles are ranked 23rd).

This is the second loss in a row for Woodstock and nudges their season record down to 6-10. As for Etowah, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Woodstock will face off against Sequoyah at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Sequoyah knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine contests -- so hopefully Woodstock likes a good challenge. As for Etowah, they will take on North Paulding at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
