Volleyball Game Preview: Las Plumas Thunderbirds vs. Live Oak Lions + How To Watch

The Las Plumas Thunderbirds will venture away from home to face off against the Live Oak Lions at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Las Plumas has now lost 15 straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since August 16.

On Thursday, Las Plumas came up short against Corning and fell 3-1.

Las Plumas was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Corning work for it, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 23-25, 25-17, 25-16.

Meanwhile, Live Oak lost 3-0 to Orland on Thursday. The defeat continues a trend for the Lions in their meetings with the Trojans: they've now lost five in a row.

The final score came out to 25-6, 25-9, 25-5.

Live Oak now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Las Plumas, their loss dropped their record down to 2-17.

Everything went Las Plumas' way against Live Oak in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as Las Plumas made off with a 3-0 win. Will the Thunderbirds repeat their success, or do the Lions have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
