Soccer Recap: Gilbert Takes a Loss

Gilbert lost against Gray Collegiate Academy on Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Indians lost 5-1 to the War Eagles. Gilbert were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 5-0.

Their goal came courtesy of Cade Hopp, who's now up to eight this season.

Gilbert has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-10-2 record this season. As for Gray Collegiate Academy, their victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gilbert will host Lower Richland at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Gray Collegiate Academy, they will challenge Brookland-Cayce at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
