After a string of three wins, Tioga's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Velva Aggies.

Leading Velva to victory were Keely Cadwell and Braleigh Anhorn. Cadwell had nine digs and one assist, while Anhorn had three digs.

Tioga's defeat dropped their record down to 5-6. As for Velva, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-9-1 record this season.

Tioga will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Stanley at 7:00 p.m. on the 21st. As for Velva, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Trenton on the 11th.
