Baseball Recap: Green Level Comes Up Short

Green Level was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They took a 9-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Green Hope Falcons. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-0 last Tuesday.

Luke Talley made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. He has become a key player for Green Level: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 3-12 otherwise. Isaiah Hytmiah also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Green Level's loss dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Green Hope, their victory ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-11.

Green Level didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 22-7 defeat against Middle Creek on the 15th. As for Green Hope, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 5-2 win against Apex on the 15th.
