Volleyball Game Preview: Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory Fightin' Irish vs. Saratoga Falcons

The Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory Fightin' Irish will square off against the Saratoga Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

On Wednesday, Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory came up short against St. Ignatius College Preparatory and fell 3-1. The Fightin' Irish have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Meanwhile, with a playoff win on the line, Saratoga rose to the challenge on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Mustangs as they made off with a 3-0 win. The victory was familiar territory for the Falcons, who have now won nine matchups in a row.

Saratoga didn't let King City take a single set, but it sure wasn't easy: every set was decided by three points or less. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-22, 25-23.

Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory's loss dropped their record down to 18-12. As for Saratoga, their win bumped their record up to 17-9.

Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory took their victory against Saratoga in their previous meeting back in November of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Fightin' Irish since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
