Softball Recap: Hozho Academy Comes Up Short

If Hozho Academy was feeling good fresh off their 13-4 takedown of Laguna Acoma on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wolves fell 15-10 to the Hawks on Thursday. The Wolves were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Hawks earlier this season, when they won 13-4.

Lucia Edaakie made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and four RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Chevelle Charley, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base.

Hozho Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 13-3. As for Laguna Acoma, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 10-6 record.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Hozho Academy is set to square off against their familiar foe To'hajiilee at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Laguna Acoma will face off against rival Rehoboth Christian at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
