Softball Recap: New Caney Takes a Loss

If New Caney was feeling good fresh off their 16-1 takedown of Caney Creek on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Eagles fell 8-5 to The Woodlands Highlanders on Saturday. The Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Highlanders earlier this season, when they won 11-0.

New Caney has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 17-12-2 record this season. As for The Woodlands, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-10 record this season.

New Caney will head out to face off against Cleveland at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for The Woodlands, they will square off against Conroe at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers will roll in looking for their 13th straight win, something the Highlanders surely won't give up without a fight.
