After losing to Ceres the last time they met, Beyer decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Patriots came out on top in a nail-biter against the Bulldogs on Thursday, sneaking past 9-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Patriots have posted since March 11th.

Beyer got a big performance out of Rylan Gallegos, who scored three runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Nolan Foehringer, who scored four runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Beyer's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-6. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.7 runs over those games. As for Ceres, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-4.

Looking ahead, Beyer will venture away from home to face off against Lathrop at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Spartans have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.33 runs per game on average), something the Patriots will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Ceres, they will welcome Central Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Hawks' pitching crew has only allowed 2.4 runs per game this season, so the Bulldogs' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
