Basketball Recap: Page Patriots vs. Ravenwood Raptors
The Page Patriots entered their tilt with the Ravenwood Raptors with nine consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with ten. Page breezed by the Raptors at home to the tune of 75-35 on Friday. Page has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matches by 21 points or more this season.
Page got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Mary Fox out in front who scored 22 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Fox also posted two blocks for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Lily Espelet, who scored 16 points along with six steals and five assists.
Page is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season. As for Ravenwood, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-13.
Page will square off against the Bruins at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Brentwood focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Friday. As for Ravenwood, they will be playing at home against the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Tennessee (Independence is ranked 229th, while the Raptors are ranked 220th).
