Soccer Game Preview: Sharpstown vs. Galena Park

The Sharpstown Apollos will head out to take on the Galena Park Yellowjackets at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Sharpstown is likely headed into the matchup with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Waltrip on Thursday. Sharpstown fell just short of Waltrip by a score of 1-0. Considering the last time the Apollos couldn't score was back in January, the team can't take the result too hard.

Meanwhile, Galena Park kept a clean sheet against Waltrip on Tuesday. They beat the Rams by a goal, winning 1-0. The victory continues a trend for the Yellowjackets in their matchups with the Rams: they've now won six in a row.

Sharpstown's defeat dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Galena Park, they now have a winning record of 9-8.
