Basketball Game Preview: Espanola Valley Sundevils vs. Los Alamos Hilltoppers

The Espanola Valley Sundevils will face off against the Los Alamos Hilltoppers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Espanola Valley is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Espanola Valley and Pojoaque Valley, and Espanola Valley kept the tradition alive. Espanola Valley walked away with a 50-39 win over Pojoaque Valley on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Los Alamos). They put the hurt on Moriarty with a sharp 55-30 victory on Tuesday. The win was some much needed relief for the Hilltoppers as it spelled an end to their eight-game losing streak.

Los Alamos' victory bumped their record up to 4-22. As for Espanola Valley, they pushed their record up to 19-8 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home.

Espanola Valley took their victory against Los Alamos in their previous meeting two weeks ago by a conclusive 55-33. Does Espanola Valley have another victory up their sleeve, or will Los Alamos turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
