The South Haven Cardinals will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Argonia Red Raiders at 7:30 a.m. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.
South Haven has not done well against Sedan recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. South Haven narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Sedan 55-52.
Meanwhile, Argonia came into Friday's contest having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Flinthills on Friday and snuck past 41-39.
Argonia had a senior duo take command as Dalton Morrison scored 16 points along with eight rebounds and Filippo Leonardi scored 12 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Leonardi hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games.
South Haven's win bumped their record up to 8-12. As for Argonia, their win ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-13.
