Baseball Game Preview: Calloway County Lakers vs. Marshall County Marshals

For the second straight game, Calloway County will face off against Marshall County. The Lakers will be playing at home against the Marshals at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Calloway County was handed a eight-run loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Marshall County, sneaking past 7-6. While the Lakers didn't have the best season last year (they finished 13-22), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Marshall County's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-7. As for Calloway County, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season.
