Baseball Recap: Decatur Wins Going Away Against Lake Worth

Decatur won against Lake Worth last Tuesday with 14 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. The Eagles were the clear victors by a 14-1 margin over the Bullfrogs. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

Decatur got a great performance from Blaze Grider as he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out eight over five innings pitched. Grider also allowed no hits, which is notable because the Eagles are 2-1 when he allows at most one hit, but 8-12-1 otherwise.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Jed Ross, who scored a run while going 2-for-2. Another player making a difference was James Mahoney, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.
