Basketball Game Preview: Southwest Legacy Titans vs. Southside Cardinals

The Southwest Legacy Titans will venture away from home to face off against the Southside Cardinals at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Southwest Legacy has now lost seven straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since December 10.

On Friday, 2025 welcomed Southwest Legacy with a 51-29 loss courtesy of Jay. While losing is never fun, the Titans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 978th, while the Mustangs are ranked 250th).

Meanwhile, Southside took their contest on Friday with ease, bagging a 64-23 victory over Winn. The Cardinals have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Southwest Legacy's defeat dropped their record down to 6-18. As for Southside, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which somehow still isn't as good as their 22-5 record this season.

Southwest Legacy took a serious blow against Southside when the teams last played back in November of 2024, falling 61-28. Can Southwest Legacy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
