Basketball Recap: Bishop McCort Takes a Loss

Bishop McCort lost against Central back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Bishop McCort Crushers took a 61-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Central Dragons. While losing is never fun, the Crushers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 231st, while the Dragons are ranked 112th).

Bishop McCort has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-9 record this season. As for Central, their victory was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-4.

Bishop McCort won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Greater Johnstown at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Greater Johnstown will roll in looking for their 18th straight win, something Bishop McCort surely won't give up without a fight. Central has already played their next match (against Williamsburg), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
