Basketball Recap: Nokomis Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Natalie Brownback and Kinley Stolte

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Nokomis can now relate to. They received a blow on Friday as they fell 53-37 to the Calhoun/Brussels Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, with their most recent loss being a 40-34 defeat back in January.

Despite the defeat, Nokomis had strong showings from Kinley Stolte, who went 6-for-11 on her way to 18 points and seven boards, and Natalie Brownback, who posted 13 points. Stolte is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as she's posted one of at least 53% in the last seven games she's played.

Nokomis' loss dropped their record down to 27-6. As for Calhoun/Brussels, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 16 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-6 record this season.
