Softball Recap: North Creek Gets the Win

It's playoff time, and North Creek had no trouble coming through when it counted. They won by a run and slipped past the Richland Bombers 3-2. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 6-5 back in April.

Reagan Fleming spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on ten hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Paige Geller was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April.

North Creek is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That somehow still isn't as good as their 26-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.2 runs on average over those games. As for Richland, their defeat dropped their record down to 24-3.

North Creek has already played their next contest (against Skyline), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Richland does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
