Recap: Lamar Silver Foxes vs. East Clarendon Wolverines
The Lamar Silver Foxes can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. In a tight contest that could have gone either way, they made off with a 44-43 victory over East Clarendon. This was payback for Lamar, who suffered a 40-36 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Lamar got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was NyShaun "Shaun" Quillen out in front who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds. Quillen has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Nygel Eaddy was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with four steals.
Lamar's win bumped their record up to 2-10. As for East Clarendon, they bumped their record down to 2-11 with that defeat, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Lamar will be playing at home against Hannah-Pamplico at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. East Clarendon's road trip will continue as they head out to face Carvers Bay at 8:30 p.m. on January 9th.
