Baseball Preview: Louisville Leopards vs. Hoover Vikings
Louisville is 2-8 against Hoover since May of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Leopards will take on the Vikings at 5:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Louisville has three straight wins, Hoover has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Louisville barely beat New Philadelphia the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Leopards were the clear victors by a 12-4 margin over the Quakers on Friday. 12 seems to be a good number for the Leopards as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Louisville got a massive performance out of Greyson Brunoni, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs, one double, and one RBI. Brunoni is becoming a predictor of the Leopards' success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 8-11 when he doesn't). Luke Seaman was another key player, going 3-for-5 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Hoover didn't have quite enough to beat North Royalton on Monday and fell 2-1.
Hoover also got a good showing from Gavin McCune, who pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. McCune has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Hoover saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Roman Geiselman, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. Jack Ziarko also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
Hoover's loss dropped their record down to 13-11. As for Louisville, the win got them back to even at 11-11.
