Basketball Recap: North Rose-Wolcott Takes a Loss

North Rose-Wolcott lost against East Rochester back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The North Rose-Wolcott Cougars fell 62-49 to the East Rochester Bombers. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 771st, while the Bombers are ranked 130th).

North Rose-Wolcott's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for East Rochester, they pushed their record up to 13-3 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home.

North Rose-Wolcott is taking a road trip to square off against Gananda Central at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Gananda Central knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight matchups -- so hopefully North Rose-Wolcott likes a good challenge. As for East Rochester, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Williamson at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. East Rochester has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 202 points over their last three contests.
