Baseball Game Preview: Lindblom Eagles vs. Brooks Eagles

Lindblom will head out on the road to take on Brooks at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Lindblom has struggled recently with seven losses in a row, while Brooks will arrive with three straight wins.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Eagles on Friday. Lindblom lost 13-0 to Brooks.

For Brooks' part, Kelly West was a standout: he scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Those two hits gave West a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Justin Slaughter, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

West wasn't the only one making solid contact: Brooks kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive matches.

Lindblom's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Brooks, their victory bumped their record up to 5-9.
