Baseball Recap: Ben Bolt Takes a Loss

Ben Bolt extended their losing streak to four on Monday, dropping their season record down to 5-14 in the process. They lost 10-0 to the San Diego Vaqueros. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Badgers haven't been shut out since back in March.

As for San Diego, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 14-10-1. They not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since March 12th (when they won 12-2).

For San Diego's part, Kaleb Rodriguez was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one double. Those three stolen bases gave Rodriguez a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayson Garcia, who earned two RBI, one run, and two stolen bases.

Coming up, Ben Bolt will welcome La Villa at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Cardinals have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.83 runs per game on average), something the Badgers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for San Diego, they will venture away from home to face off against Bishop at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Badgers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so the Vaqueros' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
