Recap: McBee Panthers vs. Lewisville Lions
It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the McBee Panthers ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They managed a 40-36 victory over Lewisville. The victory was nothing new for McBee as they're now sitting on three straight.
Lewisville lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Mariah Wallace, who scored 16 points along with five steals. Wallace has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Aiyana Murrell was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with 16 rebounds.
McBee has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 4-4 record this season. As for Lewisville, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 10-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. McBee will take on C.A. Johnson at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Lewisville, they will head out on the road to square off against Great Falls at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Great Falls is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
