Providence Catholic is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 20-4 margin over Tinley Park. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Celtics considering their two-run performance the game before.

Ottawa typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday Lemont proved too difficult a challenge. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 win over the Pirates. The victory continues a trend for the Lemont HS in their matchups with the Pirates: they've now won three in a row.

The team relied heavily on Caroline Painter, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Ella Phelan was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one double.

Providence Catholic's win bumped their record up to 23-11. As for Lemont, their victory bumped their record up to 27-10.
