Basketball Game Preview: Harlan County Black Bears vs. Knox Central Panthers

The Harlan County Black Bears will venture away from home to square off against the Knox Central Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a four-game winning streak alive.

Last Friday, Harlan County blew past Harlan, posting a 73-21 victory. The Black Bears have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matches by 21 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Knox Central was able to grind out a solid win over Whitley County on Friday, taking the game 88-77.

Harlan County's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-7. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.7 points over those games. As for Knox Central, their win bumped their record up to 17-4.

Everything went Harlan County's way against Knox Central in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, as Harlan County made off with a 109-89 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Harlan County since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
