For the second straight game, Lyons will face off against York. The Lions are taking a road trip to challenge the Dukes at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Lyons is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.6 runs per game this season.

Lyons barely beat York the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Lions never let the Dukes get on the board and left with a 10-0 win on Tuesday. The Lions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by seven runs or more this season.

Lyons got a great performance from Jack Slightom as he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out seven over 4.2 innings pitched. Slightom has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Lou Ratcliffe, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Lon Roberts, who went 2-for-3 with two runs.

Lyons always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .556. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as York only posted an OBP of .062.

Lyons' victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-3. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for York, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-10.
