Foothill's game on Friday was all tied up 22-22 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They received a blow as they fell 43-29 to the Huntington Beach Oilers.

Foothill's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Nathan Gouvion, who picked up 77 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also rushed for 91 yards. Gouvion got the majority of those receiving yards when he pulled down a pass and took off for a gain of 50 yards. Another passer making a difference was Gino Marchetti, who threw for 179 yards and two touchdowns.
