High school flag football rankings: Taft of Chicago on the rise in this week's top 25

Eleven new teams join this week's rankings, including Windy City program that has outscored opponents 288-44 in eight games this season.
This week's flag football top 25 computer rankings include 11 new teams.
Taft (Chicago) is among the breakthrough programs, debuting at No. 4 with an 8-0 record including a 32-0 win over No. 10
Lane Tech (Chicago) on Wednesday. Senior quarterback
Maylin Nunez is completing over 80 percent of her passes for the Eagles.
Livingston (Calif.) is another team on the rise. The 12-0 Wolves are led by a pair of wide receivers who have combined for 42 touchdowns. Junior
Tatianna Alvarez has snagged 23 scoring strikes while senior
Isabella Zazueta has 19.
Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Georgia and Illinois sanction flag football in the fall. Georgia is the only state waiting to get underway with games beginning Sept. 30.
