Volleyball Game Preview: Archbishop McCarthy Mavericks vs. Belen Jesuit Wolverines

Archbishop McCarthy is 0-5 against Belen Jesuit since April of 2021 but things could change on Tuesday. The Mavericks will host the Wolverines at 6:00 p.m. Belen Jesuit took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Archbishop McCarthy, who comes in off a win.

Archbishop McCarthy picked up another tournament win on Saturday. They came out on top against University by a score of 2-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Mavericks.

Meanwhile, Belen Jesuit faced Winter Park in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Wolverines fell 2-0 to the Wildcats. The Wolverines have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Belen Jesuit ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-20.

Belen Jesuit now has a losing record of 9-10. As for Archbishop McCarthy, their victory bumped their record up to 9-12.

Archbishop McCarthy couldn't quite get it done against Belen Jesuit in their previous meeting back in March as they fell 2-0. Can the Mavericks avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
