Volleyball Recap: Velva Takes a Loss

Velva was the 3-2 winner over Westhope/Newburg when they last played one another back in September, but their luck changed this time around. The Aggies fell just short of the Sioux by a score of 3-2 on Monday. The Aggies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Velva actually scored more points across those five sets (102-91), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 25-20, 9-25, 25-21, 17-25, 15-11.

Anya Olson paced Velva's offense, picking up 30 kills. Olson got some help from Adri Panchot and her 25 assists.

Velva's loss dropped their record down to 18-14-2. As for Westhope/Newburg, the win got them back to even at 9-9-1.

As of now, neither Velva nor the Sioux have any future games scheduled.
