Baseball Recap: Oakman Comes Up Short

After flying high against Curry last Monday, Oakman came back down to earth. The Oakman Wildcats took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cordova Blue Devils on Thursday. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Blue Devils recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Oakman's defeat dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Cordova, their win ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 6-5.

Oakman wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 10-3 victory against Lamar County on the 7th. As for Cordova, they have also already played their next contest, a 6-2 win against Dora on the 6th.
