Basketball Recap: Make It Six in a Row for Northland Christian

Northland Christian entered their tilt with Westbury Christian on Friday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They walked away with a 65-58 win over the Westbury Christian Wildcats. This was payback for the Cougars, who suffered an 81-46 loss the last time these two teams met.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Northland Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kameron McKnight, who went 7 of 13 on his way to 17 points in addition to seven boards and four blocks. McKnight's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Andon Newton was another key player, putting up 13 points along with five rebounds and three steals.

Northland Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 20-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.7 points per game. As for Westbury Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-16.

Northland Christian will square off against St. Francis Episcopal at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Westbury Christian, they will be playing at home against Rosehill Christian at 7:30 p.m. on January 24th.
