Basketball Recap: Evans Comes Up Short

Evans lost against Pickering back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Evans Eagles fell 54-45 to the Pickering Red Devils. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 220th, while the Red Devils are ranked 78th).

Evans has been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 14 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-16 record this season. As for Pickering, their victory bumped their record up to 13-6.

Evans will take on Doyline at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pickering, they will square off against Sulphur at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
