Football Recap: Sean Morales' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Bridgeport over Davenport + How To Watch

The Bridgeport Mustangs lost 42-22 to the Davenport Gorillas on Friday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Mustangs came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Washington football rankings (they are ranked 39th, while the Gorillas are ranked 265th).

Bridgeport's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sean Morales, who rushed for 114 yards and one TD, and also caught one touchdown. The Mustangs also got help from Gabe Tonseth, who showed off his sure hands for 103 receiving yards.

Even if they lost, Bridgeport's defensive line still kept up the pressure with eight sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Tonseth and Aidan Dedios, who racked up seven sacks between them.

Bridgeport dropped their record down to 3-6 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Davenport, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Bridgeport has already played their next game, a 28-22 defeat against Entiat on the 6th. Davenport does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
