West had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They pulled ahead with a 50-49 photo finish over the Basehor-Linwood Bobcats. That's more bragging rights for the Chargers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

West's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-2. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 6.5 points across that stretch. As for Basehor-Linwood, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-3.

West will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Shawnee Heights on January 31st. As for Basehor-Linwood, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Basehor-Linwood Bobcats challenge the De Soto Wildcats on January 28th.
